The consultant's role:
The role of the independent consultant takes many forms, typified by the diverse activities of Promoor, specialising in the field of moorings for the offshore oil and gas, and other marine industries.
With no allegiance to any particular technology, methodology, product or brand, Promoor provides its clients with unbiased expert advice and support to ensure that the most appropriate solution to any mooring situation is achieved, from technical, practical and commercial standpoints.
Whilst to some, the role of the consultant is associated with high fees and questionable value to a project, to many others it is recognised as the most direct and commercially sensible solution to a problem or situation, especially in more obscure fields such as appropriate mooring design where in-house expertise is less common.
In all cases one of the key factors has been the independent nature of this dynamic, flexible specialist in the field of moorings.
